The Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas takes off on March 31 at Tagaytay Highlands
On March 31, innovative mountain sport brand Salomon brings beginners and elite runners a unique eco-friendly experience with the Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas 2012 in one of the most scenic places in the Philippines, Tagaytay Higlands.
The Salomon Xtrail is a global event, held in different countries from Europe to Asia. On the 31st of March, Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas will be happening at Tagaytay Highlands. The event will feature three different categories, catering to beginner, intermediate, and elite runners. All distances will include a road-to-trail terrain, with 6-km and 12-km distances for the beginner and intermediate levels. The 24-km category will include vertical ascents, simulating a “mountain run” for which Salomon embodies, being a “Mountain sports company.”
The 6-, 12-, and 24-km categories will have both men’s and women’s divisions. Shuttles will be provided for the participants for this out-of-town trail run, transporting them to and from the site. Pick-up point/s will be announced soon.
The Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas is a Green Event; plastic cups and bottles will not be provided at hydration stations. All runners are then encouraged to bring their own hydration belt or bags. For those who will be needing assistance with their gear, Nathan Handheld bottles will be offered to participants at a 50 percent off rate. The availment option is included in the registration sheet.
Inclusive in the race fees are Salomon merchandise: shoebag, headgear, and a souvenir technical tee. Also included in the registration fee are the race bib and timing chip. Post-race brunch will be provided for the race finishers.
