FUN-FILLED activities hardly seen in other events will spice up the Brooks Happy Run 2 set on June 3 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, with organizer Without Limits + Pro Active pulling out all the stops to ensure the race will create its own niche.

Brooks ambassador Jennylyn Mercado, along with other GMA talents, will be on hand to lend their prestige in the event whose proceeds will go to The Foundation for the Philippine Environment, a non-government organization that helps protect and conserve the environment.

Co-presented by RUNNR, Toby’s Sports, St. Luke’s Medical Center and 100 Plus, the event features races in the 21K, 12K and 6K distances, with cash prizes up for grabs.

Registration is going on at selected RUNNR outlets in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig, Trinoma Mall, Quezon City and New Wing, Alabang Town Center and also at Toby’s Sports outlets at Shangri-La Plaza, SM Mall of Asia, SM North The Block and Glorietta 4 until May 27 with entry fees pegged at P750 (21K), P650 (12K) and P500 (6K). Interested runners may also download a form online by clicking on this link

Upon registration, runners will receive race kits that contain Brooks limited edition singlets, race bibs, race maps, and Gu gel.

“We invite all running enthusiasts to join the 2nd Brooks Run Happy event on June 3. There will be fun interactive booths for the family to enjoy such as photo booth, inflatables, sports games and a whole lot more! The Brooks Run Happy photo booth, for one, will give participants a chance to take home a pair of Brooks Pure Project shoe by posting their happiest moments during the race. To top it all off, there will be a selling exhibit of top running brands featuring Brooks, Moving Comfort, Polar, RUNNR and other selected brands. Runners can also visit the Brooks booth and get 50% off on selected Brooks running shoes” said Rodolfo Claudio, president and general manager of Sports Resources, Inc. (SRI). “Definitely, our Run Happy 2 will be happier the second time around” added Claudio.

Supporting the event are media partners Runner’s World, Total Fitness, Multisport & The Bull Runner and made possible by Polar, CEP, Moving Comfort, TYR, Big Chill, Sun Life Financial, Anlene, Anchor, Life Oil, Summit.

Minor sponsors include Pro-Tec, Saltstick, iFitness, BodyGlide, Tully’s Coffee, Nutribar, Ipure, Smith Optics, Resorts World, Spenco, San Remo Pasta, Lee Kum Kee, Kikkoman Tapa King and Mentos.
