UP Philosophy of Education Program calls for papers and participants for values/moral education conference.
The Philosophy of Education Program, Educational Foundations Area, College of Education, University of the Philippines, Diliman is calling out for papers and participants to the International Conference on values/Moral Education 2012. The topic for this year is, “Values/Moral Education: Programs, best practices, innovations, and future directions.” The conference will be held at the College of Education, UP Diliman on November 17 to 18.
True to one of the college’s mission, the conference is seen to bridge the gap between experience and knowledge and encourage questioning minds. Teachers, administrators, parents, and students may submit research, analysis, or concept papers on 1. Programs, content, and processes for values education/character education in preschool, basic education, alternative learning, adult learning, and special education; 2. Best practices and models in teaching values education; 3. Innovations in the teaching of values education (new methodologies, content, and approaches); 4.future directions and goals for values/moral education. Papers for poster presentation can also be submitted or interested parties can simply attend as a participant in the conference.
The deadline of submission of five to 10-page papers will be on October 15. Notification of acceptance will be on October 21. Conference fee is PhP2,500 for local participants with an early bird rate at P2,000 if payment is made on or before October 26, USD150 for foreign participants with early bird rate of USD120 if payment is made on or before October 26. – Press Release
