Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Why should I join the PhilHealth Run Manila?
The PhilHealth Run 2013 is the first simultaneous nationwide run in the country. Participants across 18 sites and cities all over the Philippines will gather and run together for universal health coverage in the country and for mother and child protection. It will be a ground-breaking and historic event – the first of its kind – and wouldn’t it be great to be part of that? Likewise, your participation in the Manila race will directly benefit institutions – Philippine Children’s Medical Center and Cottolengo Filipino – serving the underprivileged.

2. Who may join this event?
Anybody and everybody! All individuals in good health condition are invited to join the event. For minors who may wish to participate, waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian.

3. Is the registration fee refundable or transferrable and may I change my race category?
No, the registration fee is neither refundable nor transferrable. Should you wish to change your race category after payment of previous registration, you must register again in that category online or in any PhilHealth office and run registration partners.

4. Will there be a Finisher’s Medal given to the race participants?
Finisher’s medals will be given to 18K finishers.

5. When and where do I get the race kit?
On February 2-11, race kits may be claimed at the Sports Loop of Robinson’s Galleria (3rd Level). All registered race participants should bring their claim stubs and official receipt of race registration fee.

6. Is there a cutoff time for the race?
Yes, it is set at 8:30 am. Roads will be opened to normal vehicular traffic after this time.

7. Can I run with my child in the Kiddie race category?
Yes, parents and guardians of participants in the Kiddie race category are encouraged to join and run with their children! Participants who are 7 to 12 years old may run the course unassisted, while children below the age of 7 must run with a parent and/or guardian. Accompanying adults must also register under the Kiddie race category and pay the corresponding fee.

8. Is there a place for me to deposit my bags?
Yes, baggage deposit is available for PhilHealth Run Manila 2013 participants. Baggage claim stubs are attached to race bibs and runners must present the stub or their race bib when claiming their baggage. We will make sure to take good care of your belongings, however, organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage to these items.

9. What are the prizes to be awarded?
Prizes are available for the top 3 finishers of each category for every site, with a winner for both the men’s and women’s division. Participants are also eligible to win one of 10 raffle prizes of P1000 or other special prizes to be awarded on the day itself.
