Last Saturday, I attended the Men’s Health Training Combine event at Sparta, located in Pioneer, Mandaluyong City. Men’s Health Training Combine is a fitness boot camp where participants will be tested by professionals according to the four pillars of fitness: speed, agility, power, and endurance. After the test, participants can choose the workout that they will perform: an urban obstacle course that tests both nerve and dexterity, a high-intensity landmine workout that challenges your explosive strength, and a grueling circuit that hones your mobility and endurance.

I went to the event with my friends Thirdy, Drew, Allan, Franc, Mark & Bards. We were all so excited because it was all our first tine and we did not know what to expect. This is, by the way, the second installment of Men’s Health Training Combine, the first event was held at The Circuit, Makati City last February 6.

We were there as early as 6am, together with almost 100 fitness enthusiasts, we were given the the training kit which includes training shirt, string bag, a score card, a pack of enervon multivitamins and a can of century tuna. 🙂

We all decided to do the test as a group. Before going to the actual workout, all participants must get their body fat percentage and perform the warp up drills with the help of fitness professionals. After that we proceed and performed various tests such as Vertical Jump, Jump Throw, Broad Jump, 40-Yard Dash, 5-10-5 Agility, and 3-Cone Agility.

After the fitness tests, we choose the endurance work out, which is a circuit that includes mountain climbers, bear crawl, kettle bell swimgs and a sprint.

This is my score card and I would like to believe that I did pretty well. Haha.
